TOCA · Independently Tested
DEKRA Certification
Tested. Not just claimed.
Most Faraday bags promise shielding. TOCA had it independently measured. Tested by DEKRA Testing and Certification according to IEEE 299-200, with an average shielding of over 60 dB across the full range of 0.2 to 14 GHz.
The Result
Passed. At every tested distance.
DEKRA tested the Sleeve with payment cards, transit cards, and a smartphone in card emulation mode. In every case, no reader was able to scan through the closed case, at distances of 0, 1, and 2 centimeters.
Measured Shielding
Across the entire spectrum.
Tested according to IEEE 299-200, the international standard for measuring the shielding effectiveness of materials. Values are averages over the respective frequency range.
By the Numbers
What 60 dB really means.
Decibels are a logarithmic unit. 60 dB is not 60 percent. It means the signal strength is reduced to one millionth.
Of one million parts of the original signal, less than one passes through the fabric. That's exactly why the shielding works where simple RFID films have long since become permeable.
The Fabric
Shieldex Bremen RS. Made in Germany.
Manufactured by Statex in Bremen. A ripstop fabric made of 82 percent polyamide and 18 percent pure silver. The silver-coated fibers form a continuous, conductive Faraday cage around your device. The same fabric that DEKRA tested is in every TOCA No Signal Sleeve.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Material | 82% PA / 18% Ag |
| Weave | Ripstop |
| Surface resistance | < 0,3 Ω/sq |
| Weight | 43 g/m² |
| Thickness | 0,090 mm |
| Abrasion resistance | 500 cycles |
| Temperature range | -30 to 90 °C |
What Gets Blocked
Every signal your device sends or receives.
When fully closed, the Sleeve blocks the following frequencies.
| Signal type | Frequency |
|---|---|
| Cellular | CDMA, GSM, DCS, 3G, 4G, LTE, 5G |
| Wi-Fi | 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz |
| Bluetooth | 2,4 GHz |
| GPS | 1 to 2 GHz |
| RFID / NFC | 13,56 MHz |
