Signal and RFID protection for phones, keyless-go, passport and laptop

TOCA develops functional bags and sleeves for signal blocking, shielding and RFID protection. Depending on the product, signals are either fully blocked or directionally reduced.

NO SIGNAL SLEEVE

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Simple: place your phone in the sleeve and close it like a dry bag using a double fold system. The sleeve is waterproof and comes with a zipper pocket.

Tested it with iPhones right next to it: no signal. Put both car remotes in and pressed the button — nothing. Excellent product!

WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?

GPS

Even in airplane mode, it is possible to track the location of your phone. The GPS remains on because the GPS antenna only receives information, and airplane mode prevents signals from going out that could interfere with the aircraft's telecommunications system.

Our phone cases block all signals!

The three smurfs

Dreamy Smurf is a program that enables its user to activate another person's phone when it is "apparently" turned off. Nosey Smurf is a "hot mic" feature that accesses the built-in microphone to listen to nearby conversations. Tracker Smurf can track your location, and other companion tools can retrieve messages, emails, web histories, call recordings, videos, address books, notes, and calendars from your phone.

Distraction

According to Stanford addiction expert Dr. Anna Lembke, our smartphones are turning us into dopamine junkies.

We constantly interrupt ourselves for a quick digital fix, which means we rarely concentrate for long on demanding tasks or enter a creative flow.

Our obsession with instant gratification means we constantly live in our limbic brain, which processes emotions, rather than our prefrontal cortex, which deals with future planning and problem-solving. So when we face a complex problem in our professional or personal lives, our digital companions are always there to help us with an easy distraction.

Our ability to complete tasks.

Studies have shown that the mere presence of a smartphone in a room affects a person's cognitive performance when solving tasks. When you keep your phone in the case, the screen is out of sight and helps reduce unnecessary use.

Radiation

IT IS NOT A MYTH.

A radiation warning is found in every smartphone manual. You can find it in your settings — on iPhones under General > About > Legal > RF Exposure. It states that you should carry your phone at a minimum distance of 5 to 10 mm from your body, depending on the model.

There is growing evidence that mobile phone radiation — even in small amounts — harms our health. It can contribute to health problems such as infertility, cancer, or sleep disorders.
