Two bags, two purposes
Both bags shield, but they solve different problems. Which one is right depends on whether you want to stay reachable.
The Shield Pouch: stay reachable, reduce exposure
The Shield Pouch works directionally. The shielding layer sits between the device and your body and reduces radiation on the body-facing side. Outward, the phone transmits and receives normally.
You stay reachable. Calls and messages come through. What drops is the exposure on the side facing you.
Important to know: the Shield Pouch does not block signals completely. That is not a limitation. It is its purpose. It is designed for everyday use where you want to keep using your phone.
The Smart Pouch: both in one bag
The Smart Pouch does everything the Shield Pouch does, and more. In carry mode it shields directionally. Fully closed, the shielded compartment blocks all incoming and outgoing radio signals. The device is then offline, untraceable and unreachable.
You decide depending on the situation, without switching products.
Which bag is right for you
You want to stay reachable all day. The Shield Pouch is enough. It reduces exposure without requiring any change to how you use your phone.
You want to go fully offline occasionally. Confidential conversations, deliberate unreachability, travel. Then you need the complete blocking of the Smart Pouch.
You want only full blocking, without the crossbody function. Then a Faraday bag is the more direct solution.
What neither bag is
Neither bag works for a phone sitting next to it. The shielding only applies to the device inside the bag. For the Smart Pouch, complete blocking only applies when the compartment is fully closed.
How to test the shielding
For the Smart Pouch, with the compartment fully closed:
- Place your phone in the shielded compartment and close it completely.
- Call it. It should not ring.
In the Shield Pouch and in the Smart Pouch's carry mode, the phone will still ring. That is not a fault. It is the purpose of this mode: you are meant to stay reachable.

What is the difference between the Smart Pouch and the Shield Pouch?
The Shield Pouch shields directionally only. It reduces radiation towards your body but does not block signals completely. The Smart Pouch can do both: shield directionally in carry mode and block all radio signals when fully closed.
Does my phone stay reachable in the Shield Pouch?
Yes. The Shield Pouch does not take the device off the network. Calls and messages come through as normal, while radiation towards your body is reduced.
Does the Shield Pouch block all signals?
No. The Shield Pouch reduces radiation on the body-facing side. It does not block signals completely. For that you need the Smart Pouch with the compartment fully closed, or a Faraday bag.
My phone rings inside the bag. Is the shielding broken?
No. In the Shield Pouch and in the Smart Pouch's carry mode, the phone is meant to stay reachable. Only in the Smart Pouch's fully closed compartment is the device taken off the network.
